Alpharetta is a city located in northern Fulton County, Georgia, United States and is a suburb north of Atlanta. It lies within the Atlanta metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, Alpharetta's population was 57,551. The estimated population in 2018 was 66,255.
As of the census of 2000, there were 34,854 people, 13,911 households, and 8,916 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,631.6 people per square mile (630.0/km²).
